It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Alan Weyel of Chester, South Carolina, who passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Weyel and Margaret Olvie Weyel; and his children, Richard Alan Weyel and Sandra Vee Weyel. He is survived by: his daughter Cindy Hardy of Chester; and his siblings, William Robert Weyel, III (Vivian) of Conn, Russell Weyel of Conn, Kenny Weyel (Chris) of Arizona, Brian Weyel of Conn and Jackie Coppola of Conn. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

“In case anyone wants to know he also had a son who lives in CT, and 2 Granddaughters, who he never bothered to see or have anything to do with. His son found and established contact with him many times, but Richard would always find a way to disappear, and, leave his son all over again wondering what he did to deserve a father who never loved or cared for him. It was actually quite sad, not about his passing, but by how he lived his life....”
