He is survived by: his daughter Karen Vess Graham of Chester, SC; and his brother Brice Knox (Eunice). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“Karen i am sorry for your loss and you all are in my prayers. I started working for mr. Knox in 1980 at the springsteen plant and followed him to eureka where he promoted me. He and mrs. Knox were special and had it not been for mr. Knox cathy and i would have never married. We have three children and 8 grandchildren, a blessing i would never experienced had it not been for mr. Knox. I am sorry i can not be there today but want you to know what i know, i will see him again.”
