She was predeceased by: her parents, Juanita Chappell and Phil Chappell; her husband Charlie Wayne Cato Sr.; and her granddaughter Kayla Shantae Mobley. She is survived by: her children, Lisa Blake (Bob) of Okatie, Trudy Cato of Fort Lawn, Shannon Cato of Lake Wylie and Charlie "Chuck" Wayne Cato Jr. (Tina) of Richburg; and her siblings, Phil "Butch" Chappell Jr. (Beth) of Beaufort, Chris Chappell (Phyllis) of McConnells and Trudy Osteen of Florida. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Barron Funeral Home (133 Wylie St, Chester, SC 29706). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chester Memorial Gardens (945 West End Rd, Chester, SC 29706).
