He is survived by: his wife Jean Young Carter; his son Thomas Wesley "Wes" Carter, Jr. of Chester, SC; his granddaughter Ada McCarley Carter of Little Mountain, SC; his nephew Dennis Carter of Georgia; and also, Barbara Campbell, Kiesha Jones and Tamara Johnson.
