She was predeceased by: her parents, James Satterfield and Dorthy Satterfield; and her brother Nathan. She is survived by: her husband Steve Whitesides; her sons, Steve (Lori) and Brad (Sarah); her grandchildren, Addie (Johnathon), Emily (Frank), Anna and Paxton; her great grandchildren, Lilah, Hudson, Cru and Covee; her grandchild Meemaw; and her sister Trina.
