He is survived by: his children, Melinda Backstrom (John) of Lincolnton, NC, Heather Arnett (Nathaniel Hope) of Chester, SC, James Hinson (Ashley) of Lockhart, SC, Dorothy Black of Lockhart, SC and Ruby Lightner (Allen) of Lockhart, SC; his grandchildren, Ariel, Bethany, John, Christopher, Jeremiah, Kayley, Allen, Skylyn, Grace, Zayden, Sofie, Amariona, Mercy and Mylo; his sisters, Kathy Castles of Rock Hill, SC and Shirley Roberts (Mickey) of Chester, SC; and his former wife Loretta Black. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
