In loving memory of William Sherman Cronan Sr. of Chester, South Carolina, who departed this world on September 26, 2025 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd M. Cronan and Lizzie Chester Cronan; his daughter Sandra Cronan Sowders; and his siblings, James Lloyd Cronan, Sherry Joyce Cronan, Martha Evelyn McCurdy, Ruth Inez Rains and Mary Lee Brown Dicky.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Webb Cronan; his children, William Sherman Cronan Jr. (Angelia) of Jacksonville, NC and Sherry Cronan Watts of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Michael Clark, Ashley Cronan Wise (Louis), Nicholas James Cronan Watts, Lauren Sowders Kennedy (Judd) and Evan James Cronan Sowders; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Owen Clark, Bentley, Louis, William Wise, Colson, Parker Kennedy, Lucas and Logan Sowders; his brother Max Don Cronan; his stepdaughter Lisa Newbold; his stepgranddaughters, Tiffany Newbold and Hailey Rodgers (Ray); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Rayne, Jordan, Luna Newbold, Raylee and Ronin Rogers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Barron Funeral Home (133 Wylie St, Chester, SC 29706). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at the Armenia Methodist Church (2840 Armenia Rd, Chester, SC 29706).
In honor of his memory and in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church Lowrys, General Fund, 3981 Armenia Road Chester, SC 29706.
