He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Holmes, Jr. and Hettie J. Hemphill Holmes; and his children, Louise B. Holmes and W. T. Holmes II. He is survived by: his wife Brenda D. Worthy; his daughters, Hettie Holmes-Carter (Leon Carter), Bernice Wright and Phyllis Hall; and his cousin Wayne Diggs. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
