It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Gaskins (Chesterfield, South Carolina), who passed away on October 28, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Carl Gaskins and Jessie Gulledge Gaskins; and her sisters, Mary Ella Lisenby, Charlotte Bagwell, Madge Dixon, Peggy Coffman, Betty Gaskins and Jean Gaskins.

She is survived by : her nephew-in-law Mark Fortier; her nieces and nephews, Beth, Peggy, Susie, Charlene, David, Mike, Tommy, James and Eddie; and also Steven Fortier. She is also survived by numerous great nephews and great nieces, lots of cousins, and so many friends.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
