He was predeceased by : his parents, Johnny Edward and Thelma Brown Dixon; his former life partner Linda Dixon; his wife Kay Bradshaw; his daughter Tammy Love; and his brother Johnny Dixon.

He is survived by : his children, Eddie Dixon (Marilyn), Elain Chandler (Billy) and Brittany Wright (David); and his brother-in-law Todd Cassidy. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
