He was predeceased by : his parents, Russell "Sparky" Rainey and Mary Helen Malloy Rainey; and his siblings, Patricia Jones, Jacqueline Metro, Sheila Rainey, Russell Rainey, Jr., Hanley Rainey and Gerald Holmes.

He is survived by : his wife Julie Rainey; his children, Addison Rainey, Emma Rainey, Mallory Pierce, Christian Rainey, Kamron Reiff and Laken Reiff; his siblings, Caroline Hall of Flint, MI, Rob White (Erica) of Chesterfield, SC and Tommy Williams of Chesterfield, SC; and also Jodecia DiCicco.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Miller Rivers Caulder Funeral Home (318 E Main St, Chesterfield, SC 29709).
