It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Gerald Orr (Chesterfield, South Carolina), who passed away on August 25, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Orr and Marilyn McClain Orr; his sister Carol Orr Clayton; and his parents-in-law, Walter and Alieth Bruner.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Bruner Orr; his children, Jonathan Michael Orr (Kristen) of Taylors, SC, Heather Caroline Orr of Myrtle Beach, SC and Meredith Orr Cotton (Rusty) of Marion, SC; his grandsons, Elliott Michael Orr and Andrew Dansby Orr of Taylors, SC; his daughters, Elizabeth Anne Cotton and Caroline Grace Cotton of Marion, SC.; his brother Dr. Robert Lynn Orr (Kathy) of Franklin, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Harry Clayton of Etowah, NC, Walter Michael Bruner (Sandy) of Cheraw and Jo Anne Fields Tumasian (Tony) of Cheraw. He is also survived by niece and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
