He is survived by: his children, Charles Thomas "Tommy" Goodale (Shellie), Elizabeth Goodale Noble, Cindy Malpass (Howard) and Peggy Goodale Hicks (Tim); his grandchildren, Christopher Malpass (Rebecca), Heather Sanada (Chad), Ethan Goodale, Emma Goodale, Hailey Hornbacher (Sam), Madison Noble, Shane Hicks (Brittany) and Courtney Hicks Haire (David); his great grandchildren, Shawna M. Linder (Shane), Zack Malpass, Kayley Malpass, Mark Haire, Asher Hines and Aeva Hines; his brother Jerry Goodale; and his aunt Beatrice G. Winters.
He battled valiantly against Alzheimer's.
