He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert Rivers and Valerie Woodward Rivers; and his brother Michael Rivers. He is survived by: his children, Meredith (Todd Burkitt) of Charlotte, NC, David (Kate Rivers) of Louisville, CO and Matthew (Laura Rivers) of Janesville, WI.; his sister Anne Rivers; his niece Caroline Hart; and his nephew Will Lilly.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Rivers Cemetery (401 West Blvd, Chesterfield, SC 29709).
