Ruby J. Sims Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruby J. Sims (Chesterfield, South Carolina), born in Jefferson, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 27, 2025 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Jenkins and Rosie Jenkins; her husband Billy K. Sims; her sisters, Thelma J. Smothers and Johnnie J. Steen; her brothers-in-law, Harold Steen and Ora Smothers; her great grandchildren, Michael Grooms and River Sanders; and her son-in-law Cecil Grooms.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda S. Jenkins (Randy) of Mt. Croghan, SC, Kathy Grooms of Cheraw, SC and Angela Faulkenberry (Junior) of Ruby, SC.; her grandchildren, Richard Jenkins (Stacy), Brad Jenkins (Candace), Billy Jenkins, Josh Jenkins, Kristi Grooms, Danielle Johnson (Brian), Whitney Sanders (Alan), Samantha Norton (Corbin), Chase Faulkenberry (Caitlin), Jason Faulkenberry, James Faulkenberry, Brianna and Jonah Johnson; her great grandchildren, Kendal Jenkins, Tyler Jenkins, Elizabeth Hayes, Dalton Jenkins, Owen Johnson, Ella Kate Johnson, Luke Sanders, Harper Sanders, Abel Sanders, Kirkleigh Norton, Battle Norton, Luka Faulkenberry, Blake Johnson, Gracie Johnson, Austin Faulkenberry, Alivia Faulkenberry and Mason Faulkenberry; her great great grandchildren, Bentley, Everette Jenkins and Walker Jenkins; her sibling's children, Tammy Allen (Billy), Tim Steen and Glenn Smothers; and her friends, Patricia Covington and Linda Owens.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Miller Rivers Caulder Funeral Home (318 E Main St, Chesterfield, SC 29709). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Fairview Baptist Church (7519 SC-265, Mt Croghan, SC 29727). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of her sister Mrs. Johnnie Steen to the Purple Crusaders to end Alzheimer's, P.O. Box 493, Cheraw, SC 29520; or to a charity of one's choice.
