It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Thompson of Chesterfield, South Carolina, who passed away on June 14, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Thompson and Cornelia Thompson Moore; his wife Pat Caulder Thompson; his daughter Allison Leigh Thompson; his sisters, Linda Thompson and Judy Thompson Easterling (Jimmy); and his sisters-in-law, Peggy Caulder Harding and Penny Caulder Dixon.
He is survived by: his child Ashley Thompson Lowe (Phillip) of Florence, SC; the mother of his child Jeannie Beschere of Florence, SC; his child Shannon Thompson Sawyer (Josh) of Seneca, SC.; his grandchildren, Abby Reeves, Ross Reeves and Jack Sawyer; and his siblings-in-law, Rev. Howard Harding of Laurinburg, NC, Phillip Caulder, Jr. (Yetive) of Chesterfield, SC, Cotton Dixon of Chesterfield, SC and Sissy Caulder Adams (Harold). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Miller Rivers Caulder Funeral Home (318 E Main St, Chesterfield, SC 29709). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel (318 E Main St, Chesterfield, SC 29709). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at the Chesterfield Cemetery (401 West Blvd, Chesterfield, SC 29709).
