It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Marie Nix (Cleveland, South Carolina), who passed away on January 20, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Garrett and Beatrice Capps; and her brothers, Dennis and Cotton Garrett. She is survived by: her husband Mike Nix; her children, Rebecca Cooper (Michael) and Kenny Nix (Liz); her brother Gerald Garrett; her grandchildren, Brandon Crown, Ashley Crown, Ben Nix (Jaimee) and Abbey Jefferson (Trey); and her great grandchildren, Eleanor Crown, Hallie Faye and Jett Jefferson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Cleveland First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 305, Cleveland, SC 29635 - a place she loved and faithfully supported.
