He is survived by: his children, Gabrielle Bates, Shakeil Bates (Jewel), Marquel Bates and Rodricas Bates; his siblings, Michael Robinson, Tony Robinson (Gretta), Phyllis Ann Robinson and Patricia Swittenburg; and his granddaughter Ivanna Bates-Anderson. He is also survived by other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
