We announce the death of Elmer Kyle Pridemore Jr. of Clinton, South Carolina, who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 83. Elmer will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Kyle Pridemore, Sr. and Betty Gregory Pridemore; his former wife Pat Pridemore; his son Timothy Pridemore; his siblings, Tim Pridemore, Ronnie Pridemore and Frances Carson; and his grandson Johnathan Malone.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Childers Pridemore; his children, Danny Pridemore, Crystal King (Jimmy) and Christy Blanton (Jason); his stepdaughters, Billie Ann Parker, Karen Plaia (Montie) and Melinda Malone (Robert); his stepgranddaughter Johnnie Lee Irick (Jonathan); his daughter-in-law Jan Pridemore; his sisters-in-law, Margie Pridemore and Mary Pridemore; and his faithful furry sidekick Daisy. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Davidson Street Baptist Church (700 Davidson St, Clinton, SC 29325). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at the Union Memorial Gardens (1720 Whitmire Hwy, Union, SC 29379).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Davidson Street Baptist Church, 400 Davidson Street, Clinton, SC 29325.
