He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Hemphill Lybrand and James B. Lybrand, Sr.; and his brother-in-law Pringle Boyle. He is survived by: his wife Julie Forbes of Columbia; his daughters, Leigh Ellen Gray (Cranston) of Greenville, Rebecca Alpert (Ryan) of Knoxville, TN and Laura Lybrand of Charleston; his grandchildren, Coleman, Oliver Gray, Mary Margaret and Annie Alpert; his sister Anna Boyle of Columbia; his brothers-in-law, David Forbes (Sara) of Charleston and Doug Forbes of Columbia; and his nieces, Adrienne Whaley (Wells) of Sullivan's Island and Anna Lynn Sproehnle (Paul) of Apex, NC.. He is also survived by his golf trip buddies, college classmates.
