He is survived by: his children, Demetrius Jamall Briggs and Natarsha Briggs; his siblings, Willie Penson, Relois Briggs, Carrie B. Coleman and Daisy Shepherd; his aunt Inez Boozer; and his in-laws, Lucille Wallace (James), Moselee Simpson (Rickey), Essie Powers, Sara Briggs, Charles Powers (Renae), Marshall Powers and Jerry Powers. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
