She was predeceased by: her parents, Mason Simpson and Cecile Simpson; her son John Michael "Mike" Simmons; and her husband Edward Eugene "Gene" Simmons. She is survived by: her daughter Susan Carbonneau (Mike) of Clinton; her grandchildren, Doug Hendrick (Lindsey) of Gray Court, SC, Kane Carbonneau of Clinton, SC, Chris Carbonneau (Diana) of Weston, FL and Kalie Conover of Lakeville, MN; her daughter-in-law Sharon Simmons Vanvick (Brad) of Sapphire, NC; her great grandchildren, Carsen, Robby, Rhett Conover, Amelia, Augustin Carbonneau, Jack and Emily Hendrick; and her sister Nancy Simmons of Clinton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
