He is survived by: his son Justin Whitmire of Greenville; his sister Sonya Tschappat (Jim) of Laurens; his nephew Austin Brewington of Laurens; his great-nephew Carter Brewington of Clinton; his stepmother Anita Whitmire of Belton; and his close friend Cindy Patterson.
