He was predeceased by: his parents, Posey W. Copeland, Sr. and Sara Buford Copeland; and his siblings, Benjamin F. Copeland and Sally C. Copeland. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer E. Copeland, Benjamin W. Copeland (Stephanie Foster Copeland) and Catherine M. Copeland Nordeen; his grandchildren, Nathan Cox, Hannah Cox, Jami Copeland, Sarah Copeland, Megan Nordeen and Janis Nordeen; and his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Theodore and Genevieve.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Broad Street United Methodist Church (310 N Broad St, Clinton, SC 29325). Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rosemont Cemetery (807 Willard Rd, Clinton, SC 29325).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Project Warm Ministry of Broad Street United Methodist Church, 310 N. Broad St., Clinton, SC 29325.
