With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Robert Hamer (Clinton, South Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Pickett Hamer and Lydie Holland Leake Hamer; his former wife Nanci Addison Hamer; and his son Robert Pickett "Bo" Hamer. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Austin Hamer; his son Elijah Addison Hamer of Greenville; his stepchildren, Kristin Austin Smith (Patrick) of Mullins, SC, Jim Hugh Austin III of Columbia and William Reid Austin of Clinton; his stepgrandchildren, Pat Smith of Murrells Inlet, SC and Ben Smith of Mullins, SC; and his siblings, William L. Hamer (Marilyn) of Fairview, NC, Elizabeth Jane Crandall of Swannanoa, NC and Janet Hamer Holcombe (Scooter) of Cary, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 300 W Maple St, Clinton, SC 29325.
