It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Elihu Watts of Clinton, South Carolina, born in Mountville, South Carolina, who passed away on March 1, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his former life partner Bernice Young Watts; his grandson William Malcolm'Make'Shields, III; and his children, Diane W Highsmith, Brenda W Shields and Thomas P Watts (Mandy).

He is survived by : his wife Martha Young Nantz Watts; and his grandchildren, Ben Nantz (Elaine), David Nantz (late Chris), Kathy Hilliard (Joe) and Eric Nantz (Sara). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
