He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Anne Covington Cottingham (Fiffy); his daughter Carla Cottingham Shuler (Wayne) of Irmo, SC; and his granddaughters, Cara McKay (Alex) of Columbia, SC and Laura Shuler of Alexandria, VA..
