He was predeceased by: his parents, Bascom Braswell Beane and Lettie Lissie Kaylor Beane; and his siblings, Hazel Brown, Lucille Beane, Mildred Monday, Bennie Sue Rector and Perry Beane.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Jo Jones Bean; his children, Melinda Susan Newton (Ronnie) of King's Mountain, NC and Jack Bean Jr. (Debra) of Sharon, SC; and his granddaughter Stephanie Jo Johnson (Caleb) of Las Vegas, NV..
