He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton Peter and Wanetta Lenora Newman Clapp. He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Hicks Clapp; his children, Keri Ann McBride (John) of Pensacola, FL and Peter Joseph Clapp (Amy) of Clover, SC; his siblings, Carolyn Sutton of Kalamazoo, MI, Alane Srackangast of Harrisburg, NC and Joel Clapp (Ellen) of Albemarle, NC; and his grandchildren, Kaylee, Ally, Bailey Kole, Hayden, Ananiah, Adina, Asher and Azarias. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
