Laverne Beard Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Laverne Beard of Clover, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 18, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Pryor and Blanche Plemmons Wilson. She is survived by: her husband Roddy Beard; her children, Cindy Moore (Doug), Donna Rhodes (Angie) of Lexington, SC and Kenneth Rhodes Jr. of Lake Wylie, SC; and her stepchildren, Roderick Beard (Julia) of Charlotte, NC, Elizabeth Gibson (Ricky) of Marshville, NC, Russell Beard (Ester) of Clover, SC and Chris Beard of Clover, SC. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bethel Presbyterian Church (2445 Hwy 557, Clover, SC 29710). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethel Presbyterian Church, 2445 Highway 557, Clover, SC 29710 or the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, P. O. Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
