It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mark Anthony Puryear of Clover, South Carolina, who passed away on April 27, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Dell Walters Puryear and Burnell Puryear; his nephews, Brad Puryear and Josh Puryear; and his niece Michelle Puryear.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Puryear; his daughter Emily Puryear Johnson; his son-in-law Alexander Johnson; his brothers, John Puryear (Rita) and Roger Puryear; his nephews, Wade Puryear (Carrie) and Joseph Montgomery (Caitlin); and his niece Crystal Ward (Nick). He is also survived by friends and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church (6381 Lake Wylie Rd, Lake Wylie, SC 29710). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lakeview Memory Gardens (1774 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745).
