She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoyt Andrew Stephens and Nanie Mae Mulkey Stephens; her husband Larry Eugene Whitesides; her sister Linda Biggers; and her children, Tony Whitesides and Tonya Ewing.
She is survived by: her siblings, W. R. Stephens (Louise), Rev. Larry Stephens (LaWanna), Shirley Revels (Leroy) and Judy Parker (Dave); her children, Tammy Sossamon (Tommy) and Terry Whitesides (Dana); her daughter-in-law Christy Whitesides; her grandchildren, Matthew, Brandon, Zack (Taylor), Casey Whitesides, Tera Connors (Nick), Lee Sossamon and Jared Slaton; and her great grandchildren, Cruz, Nash Connors and Brantley Whitesides. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
