He was predeceased by: his parents, Lytle Cain and Fannie Youngblood Cain; and his siblings, Charles Lytle Cain, William Eugene "Gene" Cain, Robert Joseph "Bobby Joe" Cain, Mary Frances Cain, James Hazel "Jimmie" Cain, Alice Cain Hope and Louise Cain Ramsey.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Crawford Cain; his son Roy Thomas Cain, Jr. (Terri) of Lincolnton, NC; his grandchildren, Tyler H. Cain (Hannah) of Clover, SC and Victoria "Tori" A. Cain of York, SC; his great grandchildren, Madison and Wyatt; and his siblings, Ferrie Cain Green and John Edward "Buddy" Cain. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
