He is survived by: his wife Nancy Garland Smith; his children, Garland Guzowski (Bruce), Lilla Austin (Wade) and Skott Smith (Granice); his brother Herbert Smith; and his grandchildren, Ryan Radloff (Tiffany), Nancy Reading (Russell), Davis Austin (Katie Rose), Garland Almquist (Will), Skottowe Smith, Grant Smith and Geyer Smith. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
