He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesse Meredith and Dolly Meredith; his wife Pheabie; his siblings, Agnes Davis, Faye Davis and James Meredith; his brother-in-law Ronnie (Roger Stillwell); his grandson Gregory Melton; and also Lesia Melton.

He is survived by : his children, Kenneth, Brent Meredith, Gregory Melton, Latosha Haney, Jamie Meredith (Katie) and Amber-Leigh Richmond (KJ); and his grandchildren, Chris Campbell, Ashley Plemmons, Tyson, Kayleigh Haney, Levi, Jaxson, Tucker Plemmons and Braylen Moss.
