He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Johnson-Cobbs; his daughters, Shatonya "Shay" Carter (Dirik) of Blythewood, SC, Charlene Cobbs of Columbia, SC and Andrea Cobbs-Patterson (Steve) of Columbia, SC; his grandchildren, Chenae Carter, Aiyana Martinez (Jackson), Antonio Cobbs-Furtick, Niyah Cobbs-Patterson, Ashley Patterson and Alicia Patterson; his great grandchildren, Ashyia Stevenson, Aaliyah Stevenson, Juliana Martinez and Jordyn Martinez of Columbia, SC; and his siblings, Sadye Mitchell (Elliott), Rodney Cobbs (Denise), Nathaniel Cobbs and Robert Lee Cobbs. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, close relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Myers Mortuary & Cremation Services - Alpine Road (2624 Alpine Rd, Columbia, SC 29223). A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Myers Mortuary & Cremation Services (2624 Alpine Rd, Columbia, SC 29223).
