With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty R. Tripp of Columbia, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 12, 2025 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, O. J. Reece and Addie Reece; her husband James E. Tripp; her son Mike Tripp; her son-in-law Scott Wilhide; and her grandson Chase Tripp.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Tripp (Terry), Chuck Tripp (Kelly) and Beth Wilhide; her nephews, Ronnie, Jerry, Ricky, David Reece and Wayne Reece; her niece Yvonne Reece Almeida; and her friends, Bunnie Calore and Melanie Meade. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
