We are sad to announce that, on April 15, 2026, at the age of 64, Brenda McCarthy of Columbia, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Brenda may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Brenda touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Goodsell Appleman and Joyce Ann McGee Appleman. She is survived by: her husband Michael McCarthy; her children, Kaelyn McCarthy, Michael McCarthy Jr. and Ben McCarthy; her close friend Quinten; and her pets, Ebony, Blackjack and Tuxedo.
