She was predeceased by: her parents, Marjorie Jackson Chavis and Alvin Chandler Chavis Sr.; her siblings, Burton Chavis and Becky Bairefoot; and her son Roy Bairefoot.
She is survived by: her children, Brian and Jennifer Bairefoot; her siblings, Alvin Chavis Jr., Karen Borden and Annette Evans; and her grandchildren, Crystal, Teressia, Haylie Gladden, Brian Bairefoot Jr. and Mya Miller. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Thompson Greenlawn Memorial Park (845 Leesburg Rd, Columbia, SC 29209).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Brenda's memory to a charity of choice.
