He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Anthony Kahaly and Rosalie George Kahaly; his brother Edward Anthony Kahaly, Jr. (Rhonda); his brother-in-law Al Funchess; and his niece Emmie Funchess.

He is survived by: his sister Miriam K. Funchess of Jacksonville, FL; his nephews, Alfred Funchess, Edward Anthony Kahaly, III, Daniel Kahaly and Elias Kahaly; his niece Rosalie Kahaly; his close friend Donna Turner; and also Dawn Erwin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
