We are sad to announce that, on November 26, 2025, at the age of 69, Cheyenne Aldamuy in Columbia, South Carolina, born in Staten Island, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Humbert Aldamuy and Ines Aldamuy (Joubert); and his brother Bert. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Claudia Aldamuy (Gooden); his children, Cheyenne Jr., Crystal (Brad Byars) and Chad; his goddaughter Talia Day; his nephew Bill Gooden; his siblings, Geri-Ann, Maria (Victor Ferguson), David (Annette) and Mark; his grandchildren, Jose Christopher, Braelyn, Brody, Ezra and Ila; his godchildren, Christopher Aldamuy, Alicia Brock and Elisa-Maria Aldamuy; and his children, Jenna, Letasha, John and Brittany. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, cousins.
In honor of his love for public broadcasting and his belief in the power of speech and truth, the family welcomes donations to NPR or PBS in his name.
