With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel Thomas Grassi of Columbia, South Carolina, born in Johnson City, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 23, 2024 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Archangelo Grassi and Yolanda Violet Petrolle Grassi; and his brothers, Archie Grassi, Monroe Grassi and Mark Grassi.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Heath "Meg" Etheredge Grassi; his children, Scott John Grassi (Patti) of Anderson, SC, Patricia "Tricia" Leigh Grassi (Kristen) of Clayton, NC, Sharie Lee Nisbet (Jeff) of Hornell, NY, Amy Lynn Grassi Watson of Wilson, NC, Mary Margaret "Garrett" Grassi, Gabriella Violet "Gabby" Grassi and Jackson Heath Grassi of Columbia, SC.; his grandchildren, Raven Goodspeed (Josh), Josh Willey, Joey Ridgway (Morgan), Jamie Lyn Sawczyszyn, Danielle Blount (Jay), Angela Grassi, Leah Cox, Rachel Cox, Natalie Cox and Addison Watson; and his great grandchildren, Holden Goodspeed, Ava Proctor, Mason O'Neal, Samuel Reyes, Amelia O'Neal, Hayden Goodspeed, Paisley Winship, Carson Ridgway and Cade Ridgway. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
