He was predeceased by: his parents, Murriel Tinch and Thelma Tinch; his wife Marie Blick Tinch; and his brothers, Kenneth Allen Tinch and Jerry Don Tinch.
He is survived by: his son Kevin Lee Tinch (Emily); his granddaughters, Caroline Evelyn Tinch and Helen Elizabeth Tinch; his brother Morris Lee Tinch (Joan); and his sisters-in-law, Susan Tinch Ruppert and Lucille Tinch.
