He is survived by: his family Irmo; his friend Clemson; his wife Donna Horton Joye; his children, Madelyn Raley Joye and Layton Joseph Joye; his mother Suzanne Gosnell Joye; his sister Laurin Clark (Scott); his parents-in-law, Philip Brice Horton Sr. and Kay Larrabee Horton; his siblings-in-law, Danna Horton Misenheimer (John) and Philip Brice Horton Jr.; his nieces, Alexandra Warner (Weston), Kathryn Starnes (Travis), Mary Elizabeth Brooks and Karsyn Misenheimer; his nephew Hayden Misenheimer; his great-nephew Sullivan Warner; and his aunts and uncles, Ron Joye (Deborah), David Gosnell (Carol), Dan Gosnell (Kay), Larry Gosnell (Victoria), John Gosnell (Susana), Faye Owens, Kaye Joye and Marilyn Gower.

His generosity extended to the homeless, to causes who benefitted from his donated resources, and others' needs – both individuals and organizations.
