With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Gardner Compton (Columbia, South Carolina), who passed away on February 23, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Gardner and Minnie Gardner of West Columbia; and her husband Herbert Lee "Top" Compton, Jr.. She is also survived by four children, a godson, three grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, three step-great-grandchildren, her dear friend; her special cousins, and a host of relatives.
