E. EUGENE BAKER Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of E. EUGENE BAKER (Columbia, South Carolina) on Monday, January 25, 2021. He was born in Union, South Carolina, son of the late E.C. and Maggie Inman Baker Teague.

Mr. Baker attended Francis Marion in Florence and USC in Columbia. He retired from SCDOR and was a retired Veteran. Before his illness he was a member of the Palmetto and Columbia Shag clubs. He loved dancing, music, traveling, long walks on the beach, and he was an avid Gamecock fan.
Mr. Baker loved God, Country and most of all his family.

Leaving to mourn are his loving wife, Elvira. His children, Debra Baker, Diane (Sam) Thomas and Charles (Jessica) Baker. His stepchildren, Kasey Cox, Chris (Rachel) Edge, Shane (Bridget) Edge. Two sisters, Brenda (Garland) Shively, Sophie (Cheryl) Teague. Several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He had twelve grandchildren and one great granddaughter. His loving pets, Lucy, Tucker and Maggie.

There will be a scattering of ashes later in the summer.
