He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Goodwine and Fannie Goodwin; and his brother William Goodwin. He is survived by: his wife Ethel White Goodwine; his son Terrill R. Goodwine (Crystal Goodwine); his grandchildren, Terrill R. Goodwine, Jr. and Tyler Goodwine; and his sisters, Doris Aruelo and Betty Wright. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Morris Brown A. M. E. Church (13 Morris St, Charleston, SC 29403). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at the Beaufort National Cemetery.
