He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward D. Barnhill, Sr. and Nora Garrett Barnhill. He is survived by: his children, Ben Barnhill (Elaine) of Greenville, SC and Emily DePass (Brunson) of Columbia, SC; his grandchildren, Barrett, Beau Barnhill, Beatrice, Mary Parker and William DePass; his girlfriend S. Jane Todd of Columbia, SC; Jane Arnold Barnhill of Columbia, SC.. He is also survived by his three sisters and their husbands and a plethora of admiring cousins, nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent to either the Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina, 2817 Ashland Rd, Columbia, SC 29210, designated for the West Columbia facility Employee Appreciation Fund, or to St. Andrews Baptist Church, 230 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29210.
