He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Melvin Koontz and Frances Elizabeth Irick Koontz. He is survived by: his wife Virginia A. Koontz; his children, Deborah A. Koontz of St. Petersburg, David M. Koontz (Brandy) of Columbia, Robert J. Koontz of Arlington and Virginia; his grandchildren, Jack Koontz, Sydney Noyes, Piper Koontz and Charlie Koontz; and his pets, Jubilee, Scout and Sassy. He is also survived by his animal companions.
