With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elise D. Morton of Columbia, South Carolina, born in Aiken, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 18, 2024 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Weatherford and Lillie Hendrix Weatherford; her husband William Eugene Morton; her grandson Jacob Gower; and her siblings, Frederick Weatherford and Sarah Gross.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan M. Nelson of Columbia and Sandra Morton Fowler (Mark) of Columbia; her grandchildren, Joshua Lambert (Bernadette), Kristin Boswell (Will) and Katelyn Nelson (Scott Easley); and her great grandchildren, Mercedes Lambert, Kingston Lambert, Jameson Lambert and Augustine Lambert.
